MP3 files come with metadata in the form of tags. This data includes information about the file, including the song title, artist name, album name, genre, year, track, etc. MP3 tags can be viewed and edited with most popular audio software packages, such as Windows Media Player.
Guide:
Step 1
Open Windows Media Player and navigate to "Library View."

Step 2
Right-click on the MP3 file and select "Advanced Tag Editor." All tag information will be displayed in the window.

Step 3
Edit or add tag information for the file using the tab and cells. Click "Apply" and "OK" to save the changes.
