Step 1: Add source PDF files. Choose the PDF files you want to convert PDF to DXF. You may add all the PDF files in a particular folder by clicking Add Folder or individual file by clicking Add a PDF File.

  1. General Settings

     

    • Convert page: Choose which page(s) you want to convert.

       

    • Output format:

       

      • DXF: It supports DXF R2000 output.

      • DWG: Currently the program does not support DWG output. DXF (Drawing Interchange Format, or Drawing Exchange Format) is a CAD data file format, and it compatible with any popular CAD systems. It is for enabling data interoperability between AutoCAD and other CAD programs, and it is sufficient for AutoCAD and other CAD systems data exchange needs. If you want to output a DWG file, you can import DXF files into AutoCAD and save them as DWG format.

       

    • Output scale: Controls the output scale.

       

    • Open the output folder after conversion: This option controls whether or not to show the output folder after conversion.

       

    • Overwrite existing DXF files: Specifies whether to overwrite existing destination DXF file(s). Default is to overwrite.

       

    • Include subfolders when adding a folder: When adding a folder, if this check box is selected, all PDF files that exist within subfolders of the chosen folder will be included as well.

     

  2. Input Settings

     

    • PDF files require password to open / Password: Enter the password here if the PDF is protected.

       

    • Convert the PDF background layer: This checkbox controls whether or not to convert the background layer of the PDF.

     

  3. Image PDF File

     

    • Convert embedded images to DXF: Some entities in PDF are stored as raster images, if you wish to have the image contents of the PDF converted to DXF, please check this checkbox.

       

      • DXF line type: Centerline or Outline tracing.

      • Image background color: The background of the raster images embedded in the PDF files.

       

    • Extract embedded images: Extract all images that are embedded in the PDF files.

       

      • Prompt for extract embedded images: Controls whether or not to display a dialog box to indicate the PDF files contain one or more image files.
