How to delete your web cookies and History

11/06/2009 04:49:46

Cleaning out your cookies, history, form data, passwords, and temporary internet files can actually help your pc to run faster and fix some errors that you have on websites. Sometimes a cookie file becomes old or the data gets corrupted on it causing the website not to load or gives you an error. Deleting your passwords and form data will help keep you safe from spyware and key loggers which will lead to stolen credit cards, bank accounts and social security numbers. You will still need an anti-virus protection as well but even the best can't always protect you. But also, cleaning out your cookies may delay the download time to a website.

Instructions

Things You Need:

Pc
Internet Explorer
Windows Me, Xp, & Vista
Internet Connection

Step 1

delete cookies

There are a couple of ways that you can clean out the junk files. You can download cleaner which is free- Expired Cookies Cleaner 1.01 or buy a browser cleaner but I have always found that cleaner does the job very well and it's free.

The other way is to do it the old fashion way by opening up your internet Explorer Browser.

Step 2

Start off by opening up your windows explorer browser. At the top left corner look for the tab tools. If it is hidden you can hit the "Alt" key on your keyboard to make it appear or to the right of the browser you will see a icon with the word tools beside it unless that is also hidden which you can move your mouse over each icon until you find the word tools.
There are two sections, one for ME & XP and one for Vista. Choose the step that matches your pc operating system.

Step 3

Windows Me and XP users:

Step 5
