One day I saw an icon from a program and I want to pick it out. However I do not know which icon software could make it. My friend introduces IrfanView to me which can be used as an icon maker. It can catch the aim icon easily. To share it with you, I wrote this icon maker guide and hope it could make some help.

Step 1. Start the IrfanView
Double click the icon of IrfanView. Here is the interface of IrfanView.

Step 2. Catch the icon
Click “file>Open” to pop up the “Open” dialogue box.

Tick the “Preview active”.

Select the executable file, the icon of that program will be shown in the preview window.

Click “Open” button to catch the icon.

Step 3. Save the icon
To save the icon you caught, click “Save” button and select the destination and file format.

Click “Save”. The icon on is now caught successfully.
